The night starts off with a Kelly Abby routine to "Scared of Me" by Fedde le Grand featuring Mitch Crown. It looks like the top 19 are dancing and Legacy starts it off with a little solo. 14 are dancing and then the top 6 come out. Great performance.
[DISCLAIMER: I know who wins the whole thing and I'm not happy about it. I will still re-cap this finale reflecting my honest reaction to what unfolds.]
Next up is a recap of the night before and all the dancers. It is so clear from watching the dances again, that Jakob and Kathryn are clearly the best dancers.
Now the jidges are picking their favorite dances from this season:
Lil C asks Cat to "bring the buckness in" for the Tabitha & Napoleon hip hop dance from Kevin, Legacy and Russell to "Beggin'" by Madcon. I cannot for the life of me remember Kevin. He's good. They all are. That was awesome.
Adam requests the Sonya Tayeh routine from Jakob (of course he picks a routine with Jakob) and Ellenore to "Tore My Heart" by OONA & Dave Tweedie. This definitely wasn't my favorite. It was good and Ellenore and Jakob did an excellent job.
Nigel chooses Derek Grant tap routine from Bianca, Peter and Phillip to "Take The 'A' Train" by Ella Fitzgerald. Ok, it was great. I have a lot of respect for tap dancers because I would never be able to do it. That being said, the flip of Bianca at the end was a little awkward.
Mary picks Ashleigh and Ryan to do a routine that they choreographed themselves. Oh dear, I think Ryan is wearing one of Ashleigh's tanks again. Why does he wear that style of tank top?? Why not just a wife-beater? It looks like a girls tank. Weird. Anyhow, they danced wonderfully.
Leona Lewis now performs a song from AVATAR. Yawn.
The Groovaloos now perform to "Groovaloo Street" by Rapier & Burns. That was seriously very cool.
Nigel picks a Desmond and Dwight contemporary routine performed by Kathryn and Jakob - two of the best dancers!! - dancing to "At this Moment" by Michael Buble. I love this dance. They are so lovely together.
Tyce Diorio picks a Nikul Bollywood routine performed by Nathan & Mollee to "Azeem O Shaan Shahenshah" by Jodhaa Akbar. Meh.
Now the finalists are coming out. There's a bit of a sound issue. As the finalists are coming out, Russell is hobbling and apparently twisted his knee. Not sure when that happened. Weird. [I just went back and re-watched the dance that Russell, Kevin, Legacy did and I can't see where Russell hurt himself. I saw him jump off stage but he still danced and walked normally off the stage. Hmmm.]
6th Place goes to RYAN.
Adam Lambert performs.
Next we see a recap of the auditions. You know, the finale show could really just be an hour instead of filling two hours with boring recaps and random performances. Or even 1/2 hour.
5th Place goes to ASHLEIGH.
Adam asks to see the Travis Wall routine from Ellenore and Legacy to "Machine Gun" by Portishead. It's that weird routine that I didn't love. The music actually sounds like a machine gun. Hmmm. meh.
Debbie Allen picks the African Jazz routine from Noelle and Russell - but since Russell is hurt, they will show us a tape of the original performance. It was good.
4th Place goes to ELLENORE.
So far, America is pretty right on. The three who have left so far are the three I would have cut.
Lil C picks "an orgy of majestic contemporary artistry" performed by Channing, Arianna, Jakob and Nathan to "Crying" by K.D. Lang. Say what you will about Nathan's immaturity and general over-confidence, but he can really dance. That was a beautiful routine by all 4 of them.
Mary picks the hip hop routine from Kathryn and Russell and we'll be watching it on video because Russell is injured. Jeez. It was good because it was the exact same thing we watched the night before.
Now Mary J. Blige performs.
Nigel would like to see the Wade Robson group routine with the top 20 dancing to "Comanche" by The Rebels. It's a great routine.
3rd Place goes to KATHRYN. So frustrating. She's so talented and amazing. Oh...I totally forgot that Kathryn was the girl whose voice gets all high when she starts to cry. So sad.
Tabitha and Napoleon choreographed the next performance by Jennifer Lopez. She's got on some super sexy Christian Louboutin's. HAHA. The song is about Louboutin's!! I love it!! I would say she's brave to dance in 4 in. heels, but she's not really dancing. Cool, the girls from the Top 20 danced with her and her faves from other seasons.
We get a little recap of both Russell and Jakob and it's so clear how amazing Jakob is!!
America's Favorite Dancer is ... RUSSELL! WTF? He starts yelling and cheering and obviously does not have a knee injury anymore. He's seriously on his knees. Ridiculous. Debbie Allen is crying and screaming. His mother is on her knees in the audience. It's actually very touching. It's kind of an awesome moment. His parents are so proud. Of course, he says it's all about God.
I will leave you with this: Jakob got robbed.
I'm addicted to bad - or good, depending on how you see it - reality TV. Rather than let my illness torment me alone, I've decided to recap some of my favorites and share with you. Enjoy!

So You Think You Can Dance, Finale Part 1 - Top 6 perform
I know I'm behind and need to recap Jersey Shore and Real Housewives of the OC from last week, but SYTYCD is more important. I promise I'll catch up as soon as this week is over.
Cat welcomes the Judges and they are all present: Spirit Fingers, Screamer and Creepy all say hello.
They waste no time and go right into the dances:
Kathryn & Ryan
They dance a Jason Gilkison samba. They are dancing to "Magalenha" by Sergio Mendes. I guess the costumers decided to give Ryan a break this week - instead of putting him in a super gay see-through shirt, they just had him go shirtless. It worked. He looked much more masculine. I thought the dance was fantastic. GREAT choreography and they danced it beautifully. It was very cool and I liked the music. They also ended it cool with Kathryn doing the splits in the air and landing on Ryan's back. Great start to the evening.
The judges loved it and were blown away. Adam says that Kathryn has soared to the top and then he gets all hot and bothered by Ryan and his toplessness.
Ellenore & Jakob
They dance a Tyce Diorio Broadway routine. They dance to "I Gotcha" from Fosse. It was awesome. I didn't love the music but the dancing was brilliant. I think what was so impressive was Jakob's performance. Ellenore kept up with him and she did well, but Jakob blew her out of the water. It was a great performance. The judges loved it and both of them. Adam drools about Jakob per usual. He tries to give Ellenore a compliment first to deflect from his obsession with Jakob, but then goes on to praise Jakob and calls him the most selfless dancer. I mean, I agree because I love Jakob, but really, Adam?
Ashleigh & Russell
They dance a Sonya Tayeh lyrical jazz number. They dance to "Angel Standing By" by Jewel. Beautiful song, good dance. I guess the costume department is a little lazy tonight because Russell is shirtless, too. I liked the choreography and they danced it well. There was just something a little ... off. Ashleigh danced everything well, but she's just not a lyrical dancer. There was something jagged about this dance that I thought could've flowed better. I don't know...maybe it's just because I don't like these two dancers very much. Nigel thought Russell was phenomenal. He couldn't take his eyes off of Russell so he has no feedback for Ashleigh. Mary tries to make up for it. She praises Ashleigh and then...starts crying and blubbering about Russell. So Adam comes in and says wonderful things about Ashleigh so she doesn't feel bad.
Ellenore & Ryan
They dance a Gary Stewart jazz piece. They dance to "Kontact Me" by Boys Noize. It's very robotic. Um...well, hmm. I really did not like it at all. I thought the choreography sucked. It was not impressive at all. To their credit, Ellenore and Ryan danced it well and did as best a job as they could with it. It just sucked. It sucks for them because it was just bad choreography. Nigel didn't like it either. He thought it was too rigid and technical. Mary says that she loved it because it was so different. She's lying. It sucked. Adam agrees with Nigel and Mary. He thought they danced it really well, but didn't love the routine.
Ashleigh & Jakob
They dance a Jean Marc foxtrot. Ugh. Why don't they let Jason Gilkison do all the ballroom from now on?? I predict this will be slow and boring. They dance to "Let the Good Times Roll" by Chuck Brown & Eva Cassidy. Well, they were together and danced it beautifully. I tuned out for a little big because it was a little boring. But it was really beautiful. The judges agree. They paid a little more attention to Ashleigh this time. I think someone told Adam that his obsession with Jakob is becoming obvious because he only praised Ashleigh and didn't even say anything to Jakob. Maybe they had a fight during the break.
Ellenore & Russell
They dance a Jason Gilkison Paso Doble. They dance to "Village Attack" from the Blood Diamond soundtrack. Hmmm. I was expected to be blown away by Jason Gilkison and I wasn't...but it was good. It was a good dance and Ellenore and Russell danced it well. Maybe it was the music, but I wasn't blown away. Nigel criticizes Russell a little and then tells him he was good. He goes nuts about Ellenore and thought she was fantastic. Mary and Adam agree.
Kathryn & Jakob
They dance a Dwight Roden and Dwight Richardson contemporary routine. They dance to "At This Moment" by Michael Buble. Chills. That was AWESOME. They were fantastic. I think this season is going to come down to Kathryn and Jakob. They are - by far - the best dancers this season. Amazing dancing and wonderful choreography. Best dance tonight. Standing ovation by all the choreographers and the judges. Adam looks like he's sobbing. Nigel says that they just stopped the show. Mary says that it was one of the best performances she's ever seen. She's starts crying and passes onto Adam. Adam says that the performances was a "game changer". He says "this country needs to be aware of how important dance is in our culture." Drama queen. Adam is speechless by how amazing they were.
Ashleigh & Ryan
The married couple will dance a Travis Wall contemporary routine. They dance to "I'm There, Too" by Michelle Featherstone. I love Travis Wall. It was a really lovely routine. Ashleigh and Ryan danced it beautifully. I don't know if it's because they're married, but they have wonderful chemistry and it was just a beautiful dance. Nigel tells them they did very well. Mary tells them that it was lovely. Adam experienced the tenderness between them and loved it. Ashleigh and Ryan are both crying. Ugh.
Kathryn & Russell
They dance to a Tabitha & Napoleon Hip Hop routine. WOOT!!! They dance to "I Can Transform You" by Chris Brown. I really liked that routine. It was fun and they did some really cool tricks. Awesome. Nigel loved it. Mary loved it. Adam loved it. YEAH!!
My prediction: Kathryn, Jakob and Russell will be the top three.
See you tomorrow night!

So You Think You Can Dance, 8 to 6
The results are in and Cat is wearing the Swedish flag on the back of her dress. I can only assume it's to show her support for Elin Woods.
The show opens with the top seven (minus Ashleigh) dancing to a Sonya Tayeh routine. Cat gives a shout out to Samantha Ronson who, for those out of the loop, is Lindsey Lohan's ex! I guess Samantha did a lot of the remixes we heard last night. Hmmm.
The BOYS!
Cat starts with Russell and he's ... SAFE! Legacy is not so lucky. He's in the bottom 2. Then Ryan and Jakob are next. Ok, what is up with Ryan's hair?? It's like someone told him he needed to look more masculine so he decided not to gel the hair. But, it just looks like he combed it down into bangs that are totally uneven. It looks like a 5 year old cut his hair blindfolded. Dumb. Not hard to figure out that Jakob is SAFE and Ryan is in the bottom 2.
The GIRLS!
Kathryn is first and she is SAFE. Ellenore is next and she is in the bottom 2. Then it's Mollee and Ashleigh and ... Mollee is in the bottom 2 and Ashleigh is SAFE. WTF??? Mollee?? I love her.
The bottom 4 perform their solos, but I'm not sure why since America already voted and the two who are leaving have already been determined. Whatever.
First up: MOLLEE and ELLENORE. Who is going home? MOLLEE???? WHAT THE HELL? How did America put Ellenore in the finale and let Mollee go??? Crap.
Next up: LEGACY and RYAN. Who is going home? LEGACY. Well, I get it, but why Ryan? He is technically great, but Legacy is so much more versatile. Oh well.
See you next week for the finale.

So You Think You Can Dance, Top 8 Dance
Last time we lost Nathan and Noelle.
Cat comes out and introduces the "JIDGES"! I was watching this with my friend, Cristina, and we decided that the three judges are the Queen (Adam), the other Queen (Mary) and the Creepy Queen (Nigel). HAHA.
Annoying Ashleigh walks out and tells us that she's not dancing this week because she hurt her shoulder and the doctors won't clear her to dance. BUT, she's still in the running, so vote for her (or not). :)
Let's get started...
Kathryn & Ryan
Kathryn says she's going to go for it and not take anything for granted. Ryan says...I don't know what Ryan says because I'm totally distracted by the bright red super low-cut V-neck T-shirt he's wearing. How is he not gay? I mean, I get that he's married to Ashleigh, but she has to know that her husband is gay, right? I can't even focus on what he is saying. They are dancing to a Doriana Sanchez Disco routine. While they are practicing, it seriously looks like Ryan is wearing one of Ashleigh's shirts. It's a tank top - not a wife beater - a tank top...that GIRLS wear. Don't get me wrong. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have no problem with anyone's sexual orientation. I just want people to OWN who they are.
They dance to "Last Dance" by Donna Summer. I love this song. OMG. AGAIN! The costume people have to know that Ryan is gay. Otherwise, why would they dress him like this?? He's wearing a see-through blue "blouse" with sequins and black pants with shiny designs with glitter on the sides. C'MON PEOPLE!! The dance itself was AWESOME. They did fantastic. It was exciting, it was entertaining, it was together and it was fun!! I loved it. Adam loved it and says that real men can wear sequins. Creepy Queen and I disagree. Sequined shirt aside, the jidges all loved it.
Mollee & Jakob
These guys are so cute and they both want to get to the finale (which apparently this season is next week with SIX dancers. Weird). They are dancing the Viennese Waltz choreographed by Jason Gilkison.
They are dancing to "Ordinary Day" by Michelle Branch. Wow. It's beautiful. All of you know that I do NOT like ballroom, but this is fantastic. The dance, the music, the dancers. Jason Gilkison is amazing. I LOVED it. Chills. Seriously. I have seen this about 3 times now and it doesn't get old. Beautiful. The judges all raved. They loved it. OMG. Adam Shankman is in LOVE with Jakob. It's so obvious and a little embarrassing.
Ellenore & Legacy
They are keeping the faith and really want to make it to the finale. They are dancing to a Travis Wall (!!) Contemporary routine. It's kind of a "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" routine. I love Travis, so I expect good things!
They are dancing to "Machine Gun" by Portishead. Hmmm. It looked like a difficult routine and they danced it really well. I didn't love the routine, but it was cool and they did a great job with it. it's just not a typical Travis Wall routine - I was expecting something more emotional or romantic. But they did a great job. The judges all thought it was AMAZING and loved them. I don't know what it is, but I don't love Ellenore. I think she's quirky and very pretty, but I wouldn't be sad if she left this week.
JAKOB dances his solo routine and it's phenomenal. I don't know how he does some of his tricks. He is so incredibly flexible. He's a beautiful dancer.
[Random] & Russell
Russell is dancing to a Shane Sparks hip-hop routine. He'll be dancing with a "fill-in" since Ashleigh can't perform tonight.
He and his "partner" are dancing to "Too Much Booty 2" by Soundmaster T & Jah-Rista feat. Korveil. Ok, I don't mean to diss his partner, but she sucks and her pants are falling down. She's a big girl and she's doing alright, but she keeps pulling her pants up and doesn't have as much energy as Russell. Which is good for Russell because she's making him look BUCK! It was an awesome routine. Tonight's routines are really great. I loved it. The jidges all agree and praise Russell.
MOLLEE dances her solo and it's great as usual. It wasn't her best solo, but it was good.
Kathryn & Ryan
Ryan is wearing that damn red V-neck again. Why?? They are dancing to a Jason Gilkison Cha Cha routine. I like Jason Gilkison. He does more modern and fun ballroom dancing routines. I'm excited to see it!!
They are dancing to "Put Your Hands On Me" by Joss Stone. Wow. That was amazing. I could watch that dance again and again. I LOVE what the choreographer did with the Cha Cha. It was fantastic. Kathryn ended the routine upside down. It was so cool. I think Kathryn is this season's Jeanine. She's kind of understated, but I wouldn't be surprised if she wins the whole thing. Adam loved it. Mary went a little crazy during her commentary. She starts: "Of course y'all know that I love ballroom dancing. I've spent most of my life ... WOO!" and then gives them first class tickets on the hot tamale train. She had a little psychotic break right there. Crazy Mary. Nigel thought it was fantastic.
LEGACY does his solo and it's amazing. He is so talented. His tricks are fantastic.
ELLENORE does her solo and it's fine. It doesn't look particularly challenging. Meh.
RUSSELL does his solo and embarrasses himself. He's in a freakin' Santa suit. WTF?! AND, he loses a shoe in the process. He's got talent so that may compensate for his lack of fashion sense.
Mollee & Jakob
They are dancing to a Joey Dowling Broadway routine for their second dance. They dance to a Samantha Ronson remix of "Easy Street" from Annie. I think Mollee should be on broadway. She totally has the look and I think she'd be an awesome broadway dancer. I wonder if she can sing. This routine is so fantastic. They are totally together and just execute this dance flawlessly. I loved it. Amazing. Adam tells Jakob that he's the best dancer he's ever seen about 5 times. I'm not kidding, he is seriously in LOVE with Jakob. Adam loved it, Mary love it, and Nigel loved it.
KATHRYN does her solo and it's lovely.
Ellenore & Legacy
They are dancing to a Tabitha & Napoleon (!!!) hip-hop routine this week. YAY!! They dance to "People Are Strange (remix)" by the Doors. Hmmm. I didn't love it. It was different than the usual routines they do. Legacy & Ellenore had masks on the backs of their heads so you couldn't tell which way they were facing. It was weird. Typically I really love their routines, but this one didn't do it for me. The judges agree although they are way harsher than they needed to be. I thought Legacy and Ellenore executed the choreography very well. And, while I didn't love the routine, I still thought it was good.
RYAN does his solo...meh. It was boring. Then he is with Cat and she tells him to tell America what number to call and he totally starts crying and tells everyone to vote for Ashleigh because she's worked so hard to be there. OMG!! Seriously??
[Different Random] & Russell
They are dancing to a Nakul Dev Mahajan Bollywood routine. WOOT! They dance to "Spirit of Rageela" from the Rageela Original Soundtrack. Ok, I can't even concentrate on the dancing. I love Russell...But when he smiles that big cheesy grin while he's dancing, he looks like Tracy Morgan doing a parody of some Bollywood dance on Saturday Night Live. NO JOKE! I cannot stop laughing. He just keeps smiling with that tooth-y, cheesy grin of his. OMG! It's so Tracy Morgan. It's hard to watch this with a straight face. Parody aside, he danced it very well and did an awesome job. I love the Bollywood routines. The judges all praise him.
I predict at least Ellenore and Legacy in the bottom...
Cat comes out and introduces the "JIDGES"! I was watching this with my friend, Cristina, and we decided that the three judges are the Queen (Adam), the other Queen (Mary) and the Creepy Queen (Nigel). HAHA.

So You Think You Can Dance, 10 to 8
I HATE Comcast right now. My DVR is not working so I missed tonight's results show. Don't even get me started.
BUT, do not fret. I have the results for you. I just don't have a full recap. I apologize.
So, the two people who got kicked off tonight are....
NOELLE and NATHAN.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'm sad to see Noelle go. I'm not surprised about Nathan. I think his outpouring of emotion was too little too late.
I'll be back next week with fuller recaps and a NEW DVR!!

So You Think You Can Dance, Top 10 dance
My DVR isn't working very well right now because COMCAST SUCKS! So, I apologize because I missed the beginning of tonight's show.
I assume Cat re-introduced the jidges.
Ryan & Noelle
They are dancing to Give it to me Right by Melanie Fiona. I missed the intro, but the dance just started. Great dance. This is the naughtiest and best I've seen Noelle dance. Great job. It's a Tabitha and Napoleon (!!) routine. Great way to start the night. I loved it. These guys make an awesome couple. Nigel thought that Noelle was sexy this time (I agree) and said that the pair did great. Mary really liked it. Lots of chemistry. Same praise from Adam.
Ashleigh & Legacy
Oh, no intros tonight. They are dancing to a Gary Stewart Contemporary routine. The song is "Poison" by The Prodigy. It was a very angry and violent routine and ended with Legacy doing a headstand. I thought it was cool and they did an excellent job. I didn't LOVE it, but they performed well. Great job. Nigel, Mary and Adam all loved it. They had chemistry and did a great job.
MOLLEE
Mollee was in High School Musical 1, 2, & 3. Wow. Now for her solo. She kills it. SO GOOD. I really like her.
RUSSELL
He grew up in the projects in Boston. But his parents kept him off the street and dancing. Good parents!! So cute. Awesome. He krumped the hell out of that one. That was BUCK!
Kathryn & Nathan
They are doing a Spencer Liff Broadway routine to "Choreography" by Danny Kaye. Nathan is such a ham. Kathryn has such a lovely face. She looks like a young Elizabeth Taylor. They danced beautifully. Nigel loved it, Mary loved it and Adam loved it. It was great. I liked it a lot. It wasn't as technically challenging as others, but it was great.
NOELLE
She's from Sanford, North Carolina and has a big family. She's so pretty. Great solo. She's so cute and sweet. I like her.
Ellenore & Jakob
They are dancing a quick step by Tony Meredith and Melanie Lapatin to "Four Brothers" by Manhattan Transfer. I don't like ballroom, but that was really fanatastic. They did a great job and they were so fast. Very quick. Nigel thought it was great. Mary cackles that they did great. Her voice is really annoying when she gets all high-pitched. Mary loved it. Adam loved it. Great job!!
RYAN
Ryan (Ashleigh's hubby) has dancing in his family. His grandparents met dancing, his parents met dancing and he met Ashleigh dancing. Hmmm. When Nigel said he had to "step up" his solo because he's a ballroom guy, I don't think he meant dancing to "Rock Me Like A Hurricane" by Scorpion. I think he meant that he needed more versatility. His solo is a little boring. He needs to add some tricks. And, he just looks like such a meathead.
KATHRYN
She's from Augusta, Georgia. She moved out to LA from Georgia all by herself. It was a good solo. She and Noelle look so similar. I'd pick Noelle. Kathryn is kind of boring.
Mollee & Russell
They are dancing a lyrical jazz piece choreographed by Mandy Moore and they dance to "It Must've Been Love" by Roxette. It was good, not my favorite, but good. They danced it well. Nigel praises them both for growing so much. He loved it. Oh no. Mary screams that she loves the partnership and continues at volume 10 for the rest of her critique. UGH. Adam loved it.
NATHAN
Nathan is from So. Cal. His brothers all danced and he started at age 10 and got hooked. Good solid solo. He cried in his interview so maybe he gained favor. And now he's crying to Cat saying that he really appreciates his parents. Wow...he's laying it on thick.
Noelle & Ryan (second dance)
They are dancing a JT & Ryan smooth waltz (yawn). They dance to "Jeuz d'eau" from the O Cirque de Soleil soundtrack. It's like I get ADD during the waltzes. I totally spaced out during part of the dance. It was nice and relaxing. They didn't screw up. It was nice, but boring. Nigel liked it, Mary liked it, Adam liked it.
ELLENORE
She's from Santa Cruz. But, she told the family they needed to move to NYC, so they did. They were broke but they made it. Unique solo, but no tricks. It was ok.
Ashleigh & Legacyn (second dance)
They are dancing to a Dave Scott hip hop routine. Their song is "Slow Down" by Bobby Valentino. I already don't like it. Legacy is wearing a cape like dracula nad it's totally distracting and gets in the way. I don't like it. Nigel didn't feel it. He didn't like the choreography. Mary didn't like it. Adam didn't think the dance was challenging enough. Yikes, sorry, Dave Scott.
Kathryn & Nathan (second dance)
Kathryn & Nathan are doing a Tony & Melanie rumba and dance to "Walk on By" by Aretha Franklin. meh. It was a little less boring than the earlier waltz, but it was still boring. Nigel didn't feel the chemistry. I thought the dancing was good and Nigel bags on the choreography again. He says they danced it well for what they were given to do. ouch. Mary didn't feel the chemistry either. Adam says that they did a great job.
LEGACY
He's from Miami and didn't start dancing until he was a teenageer. He and his buddy "flea" went to LA and started b-boxing in Santa Monica. AWESOME solo. I don't now how he does that with his body. Amazing.
Ellenore & Jakob (second dance)
They are doing a Sonya Tayah contemporary piece to "Tore my Heart" by OONA & Dave Tweedie. Excellent. It was a great routine and they did fantastic. Standing ovation. Nigel does a "Mary Scream". Nigel says that everyone needs to come up to their level and that's why he gets annoyed when other dancers don't do as well. He says that they are brilliant and they had a brilliant routine by Sonya. Nigel says that THIS is really his favorite routine of the season. I think it's only because Mia Michaels isn't choreographing this season. Mary screams. I don't know. I think I'm missing something. I mean, it was great, but I can't name other routines that I loved way more from other seasons. None have stood out for me this season and this one isn't even close. Whatever. Mary screams again and loves it. Adam says that this was a big moment for the show because this was such a great routine. What? Really? I don't see it. I'm going to watch it again. Ok, I watched it again and I still wasn't blown away. Maybe it's the music. I feel like I need to have a connection with the routine and the music. This just didn't do it for me. Oh well.
ASHLEIGH
She was born in Utah and started dancing at 12 years old. At 13, she got sick and got a parasitic infection and she couldn't move. She got through it and now dances! I feel bad for these ballroom people with their solos because it isn't as impressive as people who do flips and tricks. It just looks weird because they don't have a partner. It was good.
Mollee & Russell (second dance)
They dance the jive choreographed by Anya and Pasha to "Land of 1000 Dances" by Jimmy Barnes. I feel like there are so many ballroom dances. UGH. Don't they know that people don't like those. If you want to see ballroom, watch Dancing with the Stars!!! That was really fun and a great dance. Nigel praises them for being such great performers and doing such a great job. I agree. I liked it. So much fun. Mary liked it and welcomes Anya (who is now blonde) and Pasha. Mary screams and welcomes Russell and Mollee onto the Hot Tamale Train. SCREAM. UGH. Adam loved it and thought it was fantastic. I agree.
JAKOB
He grew up in a small town in Florida. Jakob has the "Jock dad who is all about sports who ends up with the gay dancing son" family. But, his dad seems to have embraced his gay dancing son. His mom took him to a broadway show in NYC and it was all over. Jakob "the dancer" was born. That was phenomenal. AWESOME solo. He's fantastic.
Hmmm. I don't even know. I think Ryan and Legacy will be on the bottom. Maybe Nathan if no one bought his crying bit. For the girls, I'm not sure. Kathryn and Ashleigh maybe? I don't know. I feel like the girls are stronger.
See you tomorrow.
I assume Cat re-introduced the jidges.

So You Think You Can Dance, 12 to 10 Results Show
As I said in the prior post, I didn't cheat so I have no idea who gets kicked off tonight's show. My prediction is that Ryan & Ellenore, Victor & Karen and Russell & Noelle will be the bottom three. I think Victor and Karen will go home.
Let's see how I did...
The opening dance is awesome and very "funky Alice in Wonderland". My faves, Tabitha and Napoleon choreographed that one. Nice job!! Where have you guys been!?!?
First two couples:
Jakob & Ashleigh
Victor & Karen
Jakob and Ashleigh are IN THE TOP TEN!!! Victor and Karen will be dancing for their lives.
Next two couples:
Mollee & Nathan
Kathryn & Legacy
Kathryn and Legacy are IN THE TOP TEN!! Mollee and Nathan will be dancing for their lives. They better stay. I think they started off as fan favorites and Nigel totally sabotaged them.
Final two couples:
Ellenore & Ryan
Noelle & Russell
Noelle and Russell are IN THE TOP TEN!! Ryan and Ellenore will be dancing for their lives. Not surprised. I guess America agreed with me regarding their performance.
Paloma Pereirra is a principal from the American Ballet Company and she performs a dance from Don Quixote.
Solo Time:
Karen: boring. not good.
Victor: great.
Mollee: awesome.
Nathan: good. i was expecting more.
Ellenore: good.
Ryan: good.
Based on those performances, Karen should go for the girls. The guys are harder. I'm really not sure.
Shakira is performing and she totally looks like Beyonce. It's creepy. She looks like a short version of Beyonce. Seriously! Does anyone else see this? Weird.
Ok, the judges are back. Girls first. Nigel says that Mollee danced for her life, Ellenore can't improve because she's great and Karen seems to have given up. KAREN GOES HOME!!!!
Boys next. Nigel says that Victor's solo was terrific and he has grown as a dancer, Ryan's solo was just ok, but his couple work has been fantastic, Nathan is a brilliant dancer, but Nigel hasn't seen him grow. Nigel tells Nathan if he got his way, Nathan would be going home. ouch. VICTOR GOES HOME!!!!
See you later this week.

So You Think You Can Dance, Top 12 dance
Two weeks ago, Kevin and Channing went home. BOO...at Channing at least. She was great. Karen should have gone home.
The jidges are back: Adam, Mary & Nigel. Not feeling the nicknames today. This is the last week the couples will be dancing together. Next week, the couples will be mixed up.
Ellenore & Ryan: First Dance (Lindy Hop)
Ellenore says the thing that she'll miss most about Ryan is his perfectionist ways. Ryan says he'll miss Ellenore's ability to make everything fun. This week, they are doing the "Lindy Hop" by choreographer, Carla Heiney. This could be fantastic or it could be a real disaster. I'm hoping for the former.
They are dancing to I've Got To Be A Rug Cutter by the Boilermaker Jazz Band. Uh-oh. Well, it started out super sloppy and got a little better. Ryan was more polished than Ellenore. It just kind of sucked. It was boring. I was expecting more flips and pizzazz, but not so much. I think with this kind of routine, like broadway, the story and the extras (like flips and tricks) need to really be there. Otherwise, it's way boring. Sorry, guys, it's not your week. Um, I think Adam is on crack. He said that it was an "awesome start to the night". WTF? Were we watching the same performance?? Mary liked it, too. Am I crazy??? What is going on? They must love Ryan and Ellenore as dancers and not want to hurt their chances. For a moment, I thought Nigel was going to be the voice of reality. He started with "I thought it was terrible" then finished with "that this is the first time this season we've seen the Lindy Hop." WRONG! I disagree. I thought it was horrible. That being said, I hope their second dance is better and that they make it to the top ten.
Kathryn & Legacy: First Dance (Jazz)
Kathryn is going to miss the presence that Legacy brings to every situation. Legacy is going to miss how much Kathryn has taught him about his technique. They are dancing a jazz routine choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.
They are dancing to So Deep by Hot Chip. Muy caliente! A shirtless Legacy and a teddy-wearing Kathryn really heat up the stage. I thought they danced it really well. I liked it a lot, but I wish the music was more energetic. It was a little too slow for me, but I did enjoy the performance. They showed a lot of skill. Adam loves it. Mary loves it. Nigel loves it and goes a little too far. He says it's his favorite routine of the season. I disagree with that, but I did enjoy this performance.
Karen & Victor: First Dance (Tango)
They are new partners since their former partners, Channing and Kevin, were booted off last week. Karen likes that she can speak Spanish to Victor. They are dancing a tango choreographed by Tony Meredith and Melanie Lapatin.
They dance to Montserrat by the Orquesta del Plata. Hmmm. She wasn't half-naked which is, quite frankly, unexpected for Karen. I thought it was a great tango (even though you all know how I feel about ballroom). They performed it well despite the fact that I want Karen to GO HOME. Adam thought it was fantastic. Did he take happy pills this morning??? Seriously, he likes everyone. Mary liked them, too. Karen is still on the hot tamale train, but Victor is not quite there...although, Mary notes that he's "picking up steam". So dumb. Nigel liked it as well. They all pick on Victor, but don't give Karen any criticism. Dammit.
Mollee & Nathan: First Dance (Hip Hop)
Nathan is going to miss Mollee's laugh. Mollee is going to miss Nathan's random sayings and noises. They are doing a hip hop routine by choreographer Jamal Sims.
They dance to Ring-A-Ling by Black Eyed Peas. I thought that was really great. They danced well and the routine was fun and energetic. I loved it. So fun. Adam is not blown away by them and says that he saw Mollee struggle. WTF? Mary says that it started slow and got better. Are you kidding me?? HELLO??? Ryan almost DROPPED Ellenore and you're picking on these guys??? This is ridiculous. Nigel bags on their performance and says that it wasn't professional. I don't get it. They did really well. I liked it.
Noelle & Russell: First Dance (Samba)
Noelle will miss Russell's laid back personality. Russell will miss Noelle's affection because she's always hugging him. They will be dancing a Samba choreographed by Tony Meredith and Melanie Lapatin.
They dance to Hips Don't Lie by Shakira. Wow. Noelle is wearing the half-naked outfit tonight. I think they did great. I'm not a fan of these ballroom routines, but I liked this one. Maybe it was the song. Great job! Adam thought - despite Noelle's "outfit" - the routine was too "nice" and not sexy enough. I see what he's saying. It was very G-rated. Mary and Nigel agree.
Ashleigh & Jakob: First Dance (Lyrical Jazz)
Ashleigh will miss her friendship with Jakob. Jakob just says he'll miss Ashleigh. They are doing a lyrical jazz routine choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.
They dance to Time Flies by Lykke Li. That was excellent. Just a fantastic routine. Jakob was the true star of that routine. Ashleigh (my other least favorite girl after Karen) actually did a great job. It was a beautiful routine. Adam agrees, yet tells Jakob to never wear those purple pants again. Mary agrees about the beautiful routine and how sad she is to see this partnership split up. They are all impressed with how much Ashleigh has grown. GOOD LORD. Mary is crying. Nigel says that he lied earlier because THIS is Nigel's FAVORITE routine of the season. It was a great routine but I prefer Travis Wall or Tabitha and Napoleon's choreography. Not a huge fan of Sonya. HOWEVER...this was a fantastic routine.
Ellenore & Ryan: Second Dance (Broadway)
They are dancing to a routine choreographed by Spencer Liff. First, the Lindy Hop, now Broadway. Jeez. Sucks to be them. Despite the praise by the jidges, that first routine sucked. I hope this one is better. They dance to Razzle Dazzle by the Chicago original broadway cast. Hmmm. I liked it better than the lindy hop, but it was still a little slow. It was good. Adam raves about it and said that they nailed it. He calls Ellenore a rock star. Um, ok. Whatever. I actually like these two so I hope they stay, but that was not that great.
Kathryn & Legacy: Second Dance (Viennese Waltz)
They are dancing to a routine choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereaux and Franke Mousseau (I always get Jean-Marc and Tony Meredith confused - is that racist? I don't mean to be). They dance to Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. That was beautiful. It totally flowed. I don't like ballroom, but I think the music helped. It was so great. OMG. Legacy is totally crying. He was so moved by the dance that he's crying because the song was about hope. Drama...although nice strategy. How the hell can anyone be mean when he just cried!? Adam loves it. Mary loves it. Nigel loves it. I thought it looked "effortless" to quote Mary.
Karen & Victor: Second Dance (Hip Hop)
They are dancing to a hip hop routine choreographed by Laurieanne Gibson. They dance to Moving Mountains by Usher. Why does Karen bug me so much? It's like she tries too hard or something. The routine is good but they are not together. Victor is better. It was a cool routine, but it was no Tabitha/Napoleon masterpiece. I didn't love it. I might be biased because I want Karen to get booted. Adam didn't love it, but he thought they danced it great. Mary says that it was just ok. I agree. Nigel agrees and says he didn't feel their chemistry and that they weren't "together". That's what I said. I should be a judge.
Mollee & Nathan: Second Dance (The Can Can)
They are dancing the "can can" choreographed by Tyce Diorio. They dance to Cancan Suite by Offenbach/Ponchielli. AWESOME. That was SO MUCH FUN!! They did a great job. I loved it. Adam thought they did fabulous. Mary makes a "can can" pun. Dumb. She thought it was fantastic. Nigel loved the enthusiasm and energy. WOOT!
Noelle & Russell: Second Dance (Contemporary)
Side note. I think Noelle is so beautiful. She and Russell totally look like they are dating. Russell, not so cute, but I kind of like them as a couple if it's true. Ok, I'm finished. They are dancing a contemporary routine by Tyce Diorio. They dance to A Case of You by Diana Krall. I thought it was a lovely routine and they danced it beautifully. They used paint and the movements flowed. Adam thought it was wonderful. Mary loved it. Nigel thought it was fantastic. I really enjoyed it.
Ashleigh & Jakob: Second Dance (Cha Cha)
They are dancing the cha cha choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereaux and Franke Mousseau. They dance to Cha Cha Heels by Rosabel. Lots of spins. Um, it was good, not great. I love Jakob and Ashleigh did well, too. Adam loved it. Mary raves about Ashleigh. Nigel loves it. I thought they did well, but it was just good.
REALLY??? NO TABITHA AND NAPOLEON???? WTF?
Well, I didn't cheat. So even though the next post is a week late, I have no idea who got booted. My prediction is Karen, but only because I don't like Karen. For the guys, I think Victor or Russell because I like all the others.

So You Think You Can Dance, 14 to 12 Results Show
I really hate the results show. I can't promise I'll watch everything...
Wade Robson choreographs the group dance. It was great!
ok, let's get to the important part.
First up:
Ashleigh & Jakob - SAFE
Karen & Kevin - BOTTOM 3
Next up:
Ryan & Ellenore - SAFE
Noelle & Russell - SAFE
Channing & Victor - BOTTOM 3
Wow...I didn't see that coming. Um...what is Cat wearing?? She's got some weird broch thing on and a crazy, lacy shirt dress. Not flattering.
Finally:
Mollee & Nathan - BOTTOM 3
Kathryn & Legacy - SAFE
WOWOWOWOW!! I did NOT see that coming AT ALL. HOLY CRAP!
Group Bollywood number...awesome. I love the Bollywood dancing.
I predict Karen and Kevin are going home...
Solo Performances:
Karen: not good.
Kevin: good.
Channing: good.
Victor: fantastic.
Mollee: great.
Nathan: great.
I stick with my original guess...Karen & Kevin.
Some random chick performs. I've never heard of her.
OMG...they are keeping KAREN?? WTF? Channing is going home. I think it's a mistake. Karen sucks.
Kevin is going home. No surprise there. Well, I was 1/2 right.

So You Think You Can Dance, Top 14 dance
Last week, Peter and Pauline were eliminated. Now we have 14 dancers!!
Cat tells us the rules AGAIN and introduces the jidges AGAIN. It's baby picture night, so we're seeing baby pictures of all the dancers when they were wee things. SO we all get to see a 9 year old Nigel. Then we saw a really cute picture of a 12-13 year old Mary. Then we see a flexing 6 year old Adam.
Let's get right to the dancing.
Ashleigh & Jakob
Ashleigh was a cute little girl...not surprising. Jakob is a cutie pie and tells us he was chunky during his awkward years, but then he started dancing. This week, the duo will be taking on a hip hop routine by TABITHA & NAPOLEON!!!! Finally. We missed you guys last week.
They dance to "Whatcha Say" by Jason Derulo (the remix, sampled version of Hide & Seek by Imogen Heap - which is way better). WOW. That was awesome. Favorite routine so far in this competition. The jidges agree. SO AWESOME. I don't want to like Ashleigh because she bugs me, but they did fantastic.
Karen & Kevin
Karen grew up in Venezuela. She was cute. Kevin is the oldest of six...so adorable. This week, they are dancing to a broadway routine choreographed by Spencer Liff.
They dance to "If My Friends Could See Me Now" from Sweet Charity. They danced it well, but ... meh. Maybe it's the choreography. Nothing spectacular. Just ok. OMG!! At the end, Kevin kisses Karen and she totally rejects his kiss...she just keeps smiling and doesn't kiss back. AWKWARD. The jidges didn't like it and were much harder on them than I would be. I thought they danced it well, but boring.
Noelle & Russell
Russell was a cutie and tells us he wasn't shy about performing. Noelle was such an adorable little girl. So cute. Oh no...they'll be dancing the foxtrot by choreographer Eddie Simon.
They dance to "Baby (You've Got What it Takes)" by Michael Buble. You know I don't like these ballroom numbers because I think they're boring. That being said, I thought they did a good job. It was boring, don't get me wrong, but I like these dancers and I thought it was good. Hmmm...the jidges agreed with me. I think they like these guys, too.
Channing & Victor
Channing was a cute little kid and kind of quirky. Victor was a really good looking kid. Very cute. This week, they are dancing a jazz routine by Tyce Diorio.
They dance to "Blackbird" by Bobby McFerron. They are blackbirds. I hated the song choice. BUT, they danced so well. That was really great. I like it so much. These guys may be another favorite of mine. But that's mostly because of Victor. I like Channing to, but I really like Victor. The jidges agree.
Kathryn & Legacy
Kathryn tells us that she was very shy. Cute kid. Legacy was always a performer. This week they will be dancing the Paso Doble by Tony Meredith. Tony says that this is the Paso Doble from hell. Drama.
They dance to "Pursuit" by Ka (from the Cirque du Soleil soundtrack). Wow, Legacy is slight, but really muscular. Not bad with his shirt off. Kathryn is very sexy in her flowy skirt. Ok, it ended a little dramatically. Legacy is refusing to break character. Dumb. It was boring, as usual with these ballroom routines, but I thought they performed it well. I just couldn't really pay attention. I guess that's not good. The jidges loved it. Meh...they did well, but I thought it was boring.
Update on the DIZZY FEET Foundation started by Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Katie Holmes (Why, Katie?? Seriously? Katie, you can't dance...even tho you think you can). It's a great foundation and doing great things, but let's get back to the show.
Ellenore & Ryan
She was a beautiful child and tells us she was sassy! Ryan started dancing at 4 and his grandparents were ballroom dancers. YAY!!! They are dancing a contemporary routine with Travis Wall!!! WOOT!
They dance to "Your Ex-Lover's Dead" by Stars. WOW. Amazing. The dancers are stepping it up this week. That was truly beautiful. I think I might have liked it better than the Tabitha/Napoleon routine. Fantastic. Nigel tells them that it's about "luck" because they got Travis Wall. What a jerk. They did a fantastic job. They are great dancers...so amazing. Favorite dance of the night. The jidges agree.
Mollee & Nathan
Nathan is the youngest of three brothers. He was a spoiled brat. Not surprising. Mollee tells us she was a diva. She loooks like a pageant kid. [CS - I see what you mean, they do bug.] They are dancing to a pop jazz routine choreographed by Laurieann Gibson. Laurieann is like a drill sergeant.
They dance to "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. Ok, they are annoying kids, but they are fantastic dancers. It wasn't totally spectacular...but it was really great. They were together and strong. The jidges agree.
I think the bottom three will be Karen & Kevin, Kathryn & Legacy and Noelle & Russell.
I'm not sure if it's because this season happened so soon after the last season, but I'm just not as connected to this season. I don't even have a favorite. I mean, Nathan is hot, but he's not my favorite dancer.

So You Think You Can Dance, 16 to 14 Results Show
This post will be brief because I have very little patience for "results shows".
The show starts off with what looks like an Afro-Hip Hop routine by Dave Scott. I just made that up, but they are all wearing tribal-wear and dancing to a hip hop song. Weird. it was ok. I don't know what it is, but I'm not terribly impressed with the Season 6 dancers. I thought last season had better dancers and better routines.
First three couples are up:
Ellenore & Ryan
Channing & Victor
Kathryn & Legacy
IN THE BOTTOM THREE: Ellenore & Ryan
SAFE: Channing & Victor, Kathryn & Legacy
Dominique (Season 3 & America's Best Dance Crew (QUEST)) is quizzing some audience members about their dance knowledge.
Cat Deeley has entirely TOO MUCH make-up on. Seriously.
Next three couples:
Ashleigh & Jakob
Po-LEEN & Peter
Noelle & Russell
IN THE BOTTOM THREE: Pauline & Peter
SAFE: Ashleigh & Jakob, Noelle & Russell
Last two couples:
Karen & Kevin
Mollee & Nathan
IN THE BOTTOM THREE: Karen & Kevin
SAFE: Mollee & Nathan (SHUT UP!! WOOT!)
Creepy thinks that if it was based purely on dance, America got it wrong. He lectures Nathan and tells him he will keep getting votes because he's cute not because he can dance. I agree that Nathan is adorable. But he's also an awesome dancer. He and Mollee had an off night. Creepy is way too hard on them.
Now we get a dance from the Alvin Alley American Dance school. It's an incredible dance. My only critique is that it's not graceful in any way. Maybe it's not supposed to be. But these dancers are SO cut and muscular, I can't ever see them looking graceful. It's just weird to me, that's all.
Now the bottom six dance for their lives.
Ellenore - Just ok
Ryan - It was entertaining. I think he's a strong dancer.
Pauline - Ok, but better than Ellenore
Peter - Tap routine...'nuf said.
Karen - she does some salsa dance. Hmmm. I guess it's good. I don't know.
Kevin - cool hip hop routine
Um, I think Cat has a huge beetle clip in her hair.
Ok, my thoughts: I like Ellenore best out of the girls, but I think her solo was the weakest. I don't like Pauline or Karen, so if one of them get cut, I'd be happy. For the guys, I think they were all strong in their own genres. I think Ryan is a strong dancer overall. I think Peter is a great tap dancer and an ok dancer overall. I think Kevin is great at hip hop, but just ok overall. However, I think Ryan's solo was the weakest.
Let's see if the jidges agree:
Creepy says that all the solos sucked. I agree.
The girls: Creepy tells Karen that America might be too intimidated by her beauty so she may not be getting votes. Um...WRONG. She's latin, that doesn't automatically make her hot. He tells Ellenore that she needs to bring up her competitive edge. Then he tells Pauline that she's ... GOING HOME!
The boys: Creepy tells Ryan that his last round-off in his solo sucked, but that his partner work is solid. Creepy tells Peter that he's not really a star and his star quality didn't come across in the solo either. Creepy tells Kevin that he's improving each week and they are keeping him. Creepy calls Peter again and tells him that he's ... GOING HOME.
Bye, Peter (the last "Tapper") and Po-LEEN!

SYTYCD, Top Sixteen Perform
Last week two of the tappers, Bianca and Phillip were eliminated.
Btw - I really hate the new stage. It's too big and busy.
Spirit Fingers, Screamer and Creepy are all back to judge. Paula Abdrool is still MIA. The Top 10 from Season 5 are all in the audience. WOOT!
The dancers were all asked to tell the audience something we don't know about them.
Karen & Kevin - THE HUSTLE
Karen tells us that she and her husband (who also tried out but didn't make it) are getting a divorce. :( Kevin tells us that he has traveled the world. Maria Torres is the choreographer and will be creating a dynamic story for us. Hmmm. I'm skeptical.
They are dancing to "Come to Me" by France Jodi. This dance looks like Disco Lite. It's like the slow part of "Last Dance" by Donna Summer and it gets a little faster, but not like the crazy disco dances that Doriana Sanchez choreographs. I also didn't really see the Hustle at all. Maybe I wasn't supposed to see it, but I was expecting it. I thought it was kind of boring. I'm going to change Spirit Fingers to Chatty Cathy. MY GOD, does that guy like to hear himself talk. He raved, Screamer raved, Creepy raved. I completely disagree. They were...ok.
Ashleigh & Jakob - JAZZ
Ashleigh tells us that she is a big nerd because she "studied" political science and history and lived in the library at college. I wonder why she didn't tell us where she went to college and if she graduated. Interesting ... Jakob tells us that one of his best friends was on SYTYCD last season and it's ... JANINE!!! The WINNER! Mandy Moore is choreographing a jazz routine for these two and they are using a cane.
They are dancing to "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. I find that I'm distracted by Ashleigh's super tight and weirdly shiny spandex pants and little half boots. So werid. I thought it was good, but again...a little boring. Jakob is so great. I love him. I feel like he makes Ashleigh look good, but that's just because she bugs me. Chatty Cathy thinks that it was great (I think...I tuned out), Screamer raves and so does Creepy. It was ok...I wasn't blown away.
Pauline & Peter - QUICKSTEP
Peter tells us that he volunteers as a choreographer for people with special needs. Pauline tells us that she eats A LOT. JT & Tomas are choreographing this "kiss of death" dance. It's the dance all contestants hate and always get wrong.
They are dancing to "Hey Baby! (Shake Those Hula Hips)" by Big Kahuna & The Copa Cat Pack. I thought they did a good job. It was fun. It was very "broadway". Sort of cheesy. Chatty Cathy said that he thought it was fun and a great performance. Then he makes fun of Cat for how she says Pauline (Po-LEEN). HA! Screamer thinks they pulled it off and attacks the technicality. Who cares, right? Creepy says they were not technically good, but their performance was fantastic. I thought it was ok. Again, not blown away.
Kathryn & Legacy - BROADWAY
Kathryn tells us that she went on a mission to Costa Rica and she loves helping people. Legacy LOVES soccer and was supposed to be a professional soccer player but he fell in love with dance. Andy Blankenbeuhler is the choreographer.
They are dancing to "I Wanna Be Like You" by Swinging Fireballs. Ooh. It's the song from Jungle Book. :) It totally looked like they were making out at the end. This show needs a little more drama. I thought it was very cute and I enjoyed it. Chatty Cathy didn't love it. He wanted them to get into their characters more. Screamer thinks Legacy overshadowed Kathryn. Hmmm. Creepy also trashes Kathryn. I thought they did good.
Channing & Victor - CONTEMPORARY
Victor tells us that he used to be a hardcore Gothic Rocker and there are pictures! Channing tells us that she used to race...wait for it...lawn mowers. I'm not kidding. Stacey Tookey is the choreographer. I hope this is good. Ooooh...it's about a toxic relationship. Those usually make good dances.
They are dancing to "Be Be Your Love" by Rachael Yamagata. Good song. I just got chills. Love this song. Love the dancing. Chills. So good. I thought that was a great dance. And, I thought they both did very well. Chatty Cathy really liked it. Screamer and Creepy agreed. GREAT JOB!
Ellenore & Ryan - HIP HOP
Ellenore tells us she is 6 different ethnicities. She's Mexican, African American, American Indian, Italian, Hawaiian and Phillipino. Ryan tells us that he's an extreme sports junkie and secretly wants to be a superhero in an action movie. Lil C is the choreographer and he'll be putting together something BUCK...or not.
They are dancing to "Lost Boiz Anthem" by Tha J-Squad. Hmmm. I feel like Ryan is trying too hard. They are mostly together. I just feel like he's exaggerating too much. Chatty Cathy liked it. Eh. Screamer said it got a little sluggish for her and I actually agree. She also says she liked it but she doesn't want to scream. THANK GOD! Creepy said he didn't think it was good AT ALL. Wow. I wouldn't say they were BAD. I just thought it looked a little off.
Mollee & Nathan - SALSA
Mollee tells us that she's deaf in her left ear. Nathan tells us that he loves to jet ski. Gustavo Vargas is the choreographer. I bet they do a great job. They might be my favorite couple...and not just because Nathan is so dreamy. Ok, maybe it is. Whatever. I still like this couple!
They are dancing to "Quimbara" by Celia Cruz & Johnny Pacheco. Wow. Mollee is in a hot yellow number that looks like pieces of cloth sewn together to cover her girly bits. And Nathan has slick hair. They look like they are from Dirty Dancing Havana Nights. The white American girl and the Cuban local. Very sexy...although, they looked a little awkward. Chatty Cathy was disappointed. He thought they were awkward, too. Screamer agreed...she said it wasn't "sexified", it was "french fried". WTF? She didn't think it was good, either. Creepy agreed. They did look uncomfortable and awkward. Not good. BUT, I love them and I hope they'll be safe.
Noelle & Russell - AFRO-JAZZ
Noelle tells us that she has a big family - 3 sisters and a brother. Hmmm. Russell tells us that he's an artist - he sketches. Choreographer Sean Cheesman tells us that Afro-Jazz is a mixture of African Technique and Jazz Technique minus the "jazz hands".
They are dancing to "Frog Dance" by Mickey Hart & Planet Drum. Cool. They did this somersault thing that was super cool. I think they did a great job. It's not really my favorite style of dancing, but they executed well. Good job! Chatty Cathy tries to make a joke and it falls flat. HA! He keeps going...I think he liked it. Screamer says "that was crazy" and when Cat asks her if it was crazy good or crazy bad, Screamer yells "CRAZY GOOD!". Why are all these judges so annoying? Creepy agrees. I thought it was great.
All in all, not a great night of performances. I liked Channing and Victor's Contemporary dance the best, followed by Noelle & Russell's Afro-Jazz. The rest were all kind of boring. The judges all agree that Ryan & Ellenore and Mollee & Nathan will be on the bottom. BOO!
We'll see what happens on the results show!!
JANINE!!! SYTYCD, 18 to 16
Cat tells us that next week, the public will start voting, but this week the "jidges" will send one girl and one boy packing.
The Jidges: Adam "Spirit Fingers" Shankman, Mary "Screamer" Murphy, and Nigel "Creepy" Lythgoe. They make jokes about Paula Abdrool not showing up. Nigel pretends like FOX and Dick Clark Productions have any say whatsoever about the "rules" of HIS show. He says that they agreed to allow Billy (the kid who had to drop out due to illness) start in the top 100 in Vegas next season. They've also agreed to let Brandon reapply and do the entire audition process again. Wow, how nice of them. Way to pass the buck, Nigel, and make FOX, etc. take any heat for those decisions.
Ok, enough. Let's see the dancers!!
Noelle (she's back) and Russell
New choreographer Jamal Sims will be creating a routine for them. They are dancing with tennis rackets. Interesting. I think it's a hip hop routine.
They are dancing to "Move Shake Drop Remix" by DJ Las, Flo Rida & Casely. And they are wearly shiny tennis outfits. I thought they were together and did a good job. HOWEVER, in the middle of the routine, Noelle did a really weak cartwheel and I couldn't tell if she did it like that on purpose or if her knee was hurting. Either way, it looked sloppy. Otherwise they did good. The judges agree that it was ok and Nigel pointed out Noelle's crappy cartwheel.
Ashleigh and Jakob
They are dancing the Viennese Waltz choreographed by Melanie Lapatin and Tony Meredith. YAWN! I'm going to watch, so I can talk about it, but I'm not going to like it. It's a wedding dance so they are pretending to get married. Dumb. They dance to "At Last" by Etta James. Ok, I LOVE this song. For a long time, I wanted the first dance at my wedding to be to this song. So good. They look like the couple on top of a wedding cake, with the veil and everything. Hmmm. I don't know. Lots of twirling and spinning. Jakob does the splits in the air which was kind of cool. I think they did well, it was just boring. I completely DISAGREE with Spirit Fingers. He thinks there were too many lifts and that he would've just liked to see them waltz. He also didn't like the splits in the air. Ok, the lifts and the splits were the BEST PART! If those were gone, I would've fallen asleep. The judges all like them, but not blown away.
Victor and Bianca
They are doing a Tyce Diorio broadway dance. They are dancing to music from The Color Purple Musical.
They dance to "Maybe God is Tryin' to Tell You Something" from The Color Purple Soundtrack. I saw this musical and really enjoyed it. I thought the dance was fun. There was a lot of jumping around. I didn't think they were very together. I don't know...it was ok. The judges weren't blown away either.
Mollee and Nathan
Someone needs to tell some of these dancers that they spell their names incorrectly. BOLLYWOOD! They will be dancing a Bollywood number choreographed by Nakul Dev Mahajan. Mollee is pretty immature, but she's cute. They are an adorable couple. Seriously, Nathan is HOT.
They are dancing to "Azeem O Shaan Shahenshah" from the Jodhaa Akbar Sountrack (yeah, I don't know). Very cool. I love the Bollywood numbers. I thought they executed it very well. Awesome. Oh jeez. We got a scream from the Screamer. OMG, she totally reminds me of Miss Piggy, swinging her hair around with all that ridiculous jewelry. Nigel is totally her Kermie! I thought they did a really great job. Woot!
Channing and Phillip
They will be dancing the Samba choreographed by Melanie Lapatin and Tony Meredith. Them again??? Seriously? Where are Tabitha and Napoleon?!?! Come back!! I don't like this ballroom crap. It's so boring. UGH!
They are dancing to "Maracatu Funk" by The Samba Squad. They do this complicated lift thing. Awkward. It was not smooth. She's kind of big and manish. When they do lifts, Phillip looks like he's struggling. She's not fat, but she's clearly solid. The judges agree that they looked like they were struggling. Meh.
Kevin and Karen
YAYAYAY!!! Finally!! Napoleon and Tabitha!! LOVE. They are choreographing these guys. I hope that Kevin and Karen can do the hip hop routine justice.
They dance to "Ice Cream Paint Job" by Dorrough. It's a race car themed dance. Karen is the driver and Kevin is the mechanic. I thought that was fantastic. They did a great job!!! So much fun. Love it. The judges agree. Oh good LORD. Kevin is on the HOT TAMALE TRAIN. Screamer is really too much ... not in a good way.
Legacy and Kathryn
They will be dancing a contemporary piece choreographed by Stacey Tookey. Kathryn is going to "struggle with fear" and Legacy will be "fear." So deep.
They are dancing to "2 Steps Away" by Patti LaBelle. Wow. That was AWESOME. I hardly miss Mia Michaels. I thought that was fantastic. I loved it. Spirit Fingers agreed wholeheartedly and I didn't have it in me to listen to Screamer and Creepy. Great Dance!!
Peter and Pauline (NEW COUPLE)
These two both lost their partners last week. Let's see how they match up. Wade "Britney cheated on JT with me" Robson will be choreographing a weird Wade Robson-type routine for them. He's choreographing a version of Van Gough's Starry Night as if people were in the painting. Huh?
They dance to "Little Green Bag" by George Baker Selection. It was totally weird, but really interesting. I thought it was great. The judges agree.
Ellenore and Ryan
They will be dancing an Argentine tango choreographed by Miriam Larici & Leonardo Barrionuevo. UGH! Why couldn't it be hip hop or contemporary? THREE BALLROOM ROUTINES!!! THREE??? Not fair. This better be good.
They are dancing to "Violentango" by Astor Piazzolla. I really like this couple. It was actually lovely... a little boring, but lovely. Her dress was caught in her heel for most of the performance - which I actually thought was part of the costume - but she kept dancing. Great job. UGH - Screamer got up and yelled.
ELIMINATION
My prediction is Noelle or Bianca for the girls and Russell or Victor.
Bottom four:
Noelle, Phillip, Victor and Bianca are dancing for their lives. Three out four.
Whoa...Bianca and Phillip - two of the three tappers - go home. I'm ok with that decision.
See you for the Top 16 next week.

SYTYCD, Top Twenty Perform
The three judges are: Nigel "Creepy" Lythgoe, Mary "Screamer" Murphy and Adam "Spirit Fingers" Shankman. But wait, there's another chair. Apparently, Nigel is trying to recruit Paula Abdul to be the fourth judge!! That would actually be great. I think Paula is a much better dancer than singer.
Cat is in a black dress with sequence sporadically on the dress. Hmmmm. Interesting.
Wade "I broke Brittany and Justin up" Robson choreographed the first number. It's a "zoot suit" type dance to Comanche by The Revels. It's pretty awesome. It looks like it takes place in the "zoot suit" era.
Up next, Tabitha and Napoleon routine!!! YES! The hip-hop (Kevin), crumper (Russell), and b-boy (Legacy) are doing this routine. Sweet!! They are dancing to Beggin' (District 78 remix) by Madcon. That was SICK! They ROCKED IT!
Since the teams are just showcasing their own styles, I am skipping the judge commentary.
Next up is the first contemporary routine. Nathan, Arianna, Jakob and Channing. Tyce Diorio is choreographing this one. They are dancing to Crying by K.D. Lang. That was actually really beautiful. Nice job, Tyce.
Now we get to see the tappers!! Biana, Peter and Phillip are tapping. NEW choreographer, Derick K. Grant, will be working with these guys. They are dancing to Take the "A" Train by Ella Fitzgerald. It was really great, although, I tuned out halfway through it.
Jazz is up. Mollee, Pauline and Ellenore are dancing. Sonya Tajeh is choreographing...ugh. I hope it's good. Sonya bugs me, but sometimes her routines are good. They are dancing to On A Cloud by PPP. Hmmm...meh.
The second contemporary dancers are next. Victor, Noelle, Kathryn and Billy (Elliot!) are all dancing a Mandy Moore piece. YAY! I like Mandy Moore. I hope she grows this season now that Mia is out! They are dancing to Viva la Vida by Coldplay. It was ... ok. There was several mistakes and it was a little cheesy with the "Autumn" scene in the background.
Finally, we have ballroom. Ashleigh, Ryan and Kareen will dance to a Jason Gilkison routine. Who? Is this guy new? I don't remember him. They are dancing to Everything I Can't Have by Robin Thicke. Muy caliente! That was good....for ballroom. It was more Salsa than Ballroom.
That's it...tune in for the first night of competition.
