The Globes are first to leave. Teams must now fly to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Once there, they must find the Foreign Correspondence Club (FCC) and make contact with the Assignment Editor. Speaking in a whisper, they must ask for their next assignment to receive their next clue.
Next are the Blondes, the Farmers, Team USA (or Team Jungle Fever as they called themselves), Rainbow, Poker Chicks, Clueless, Besties and Lawyahs. The Globes and Blondes are frantically looking for a flight. They were told there are no flights that night, so they will have to leave the next day. BUNCHING!
Besties are having trouble pronouncing Phnom Penh, so they say they're going to Sean Penn, Cambodia. Heh. The Lawyahs tell us they are getting married when the race is over. Yikes.
The rest of the teams arrive at the airport and race to get tickets on the flight...TOMORROW. When the Lawyahs show up, the first flight at 12:25pm is full. Lawyahs and Besties will be on the waiting list for that flight and otherwise will be on the 2:15pm flight. So now...waiting.
Next day. The teams on the first flight are all excited that the Lawyahs and Besties are not on the flight. Meanwhile, Lawyahs and Besties are begging to get off the stand-by list and get on the flight. Commercial. When we come back Lawyahs and Besties are boarding the first flight. DOH! The other teams are PISSED. HA!
PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA
The teams arrive and race to find a taxi to take them to the FCC. Besties make it into a cab first, followed by the Blondes and Rainbow. Besties make it there with the Blondes close by. Now the teams are all whispering to people asking them for their "next assignment". I guess any guy reading a newspaper with a hat is an "assistant editor". The clue says "This woman has a hotel suite named after her." Using only a black and white photo of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis standing on a convertible with King Sihanouk for reference, teams must figure out that their next destination is the Hotel Le Royal. Once there, they must find the photo and when they do, they'll receive their next clue. Besties ask their cabbie about the picture to figure out where Jackie O has a hotel suite named after her. The cabbie tells them it's the Hotel Le Royal.
Um...how does Rainbow not recognize Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis???? HELLO?? Who doesn't know who she is? They show the pic to the cabbie and he tells them that it's taken across the street from the Royal Hotel. They're off...even though they don't know who she is!! Dumb.
Back at FCC. Clueless doesn't get it. They are supposed to ask the Assignment Editor "May I have my next assignment?" Canaan keeps asking for the next "task" and they say NO! He FINALLY gets it. Jeez.
The Farmers didn't recognize Jackie O either!!! Oh wait...the dad got it. Clueless thinks it's Queen Elizabeth because Mika said "it's definitely someone of Cambodian descent. I mean, she looks like the Cambodian people". The Globes think it's "one of the queens from here." Rainbow thinks she's a queen or princess or something, too. COME ON, PEOPLE!!!
Besties are the first to arrive at the hotel and they get the next clue (and they knew it was Jackie).
DETOUR. Cover or wrap. In COVER, teams will locate the helmet stand and choose four helmets. Using their powers of persuasion, they will have to sell the helmets to a family of four (2 adults/2 kids) for $10. Once they return the money to the owner of the store, they will receive their next clue. In WRAP, teams must find the Russian Market and locate stalls 980 and 981. Once there, they will be handed an intricate silk scarf. They must then search the big and crowded market for a woman wearing the identical scarf. When they return both scarves to the shopkeeper, they will receive their next clue.
The Farmers and Team USA end up at the King's Palace. Oops...they're supposed to go to the Royal Hotel. They find a driver to take them to the Royal Hotel.
Besties, Rainbow, Globes, Blondes, Clueless, Poker Chicks, Team USA, and Farmers pick WRAP. Lawyahs pick COVER. PLEASE, let this be the end for them!
Besties get a purple scarf and start looking for it's match. It looks like they've enlisted the cabbie's help, too. They find the matching scarf and go get their next clue.
NEXT CLUE: Teams must now travel on foot to Wat Toul Tom Pong (it looks like a castle or palace or something) where they will search for their next clue.
Besties get the cabbie to drive to Wat Toul Tom Pong with the boys running behind him. HA!
Back at the Russian Market...teams are looking for their scarves. Rainbow, Team USA, Globes, find the match and get the next clue.
Lawyahs are at COVER.
Besties find the next clue at Wat Toul Tom Pong. MONKEY CHALLENGE!! WOO HOO! One team member must learn to be a monkey and "quite literally go bananas!" Awesome. Wearing a mask and a tail, the team member must perform 3 monkey tricks as taught to them by their Monkey Master. If they succeed, the Monkey Master will hand them their next clue. Zev is up for Besties!! He performs the first task and second task. Rainbow comes and joins them. They complete the first two tasks. Zev is frustrated, lays down and says he has no energy.
Rainbow is done and gets the clue to the next PIT STOP. Teams must find their way to Wat Phnom, a buddhist shrine and tallest building in the city, the next Pit Stop for this leg of the race.
Besties finish the monkey task and head to the pit stop. Big Easy (Globes) and Erika (Team USA) are doing the monkey tasks. They finish and head to pit stop.
Blondes and Farmers find their matching scarves and head to the monkey task. Meghan (Blondes) and Gary (Farmers) are doing the monkey task. They finish and head to the pit stop.
The Lawyahs find someone to buy their helmets and head to the monkey task. Keri will be doing the task.
Poker Chicks and Clueless find the matching scarves and go to the monkey task.
BESTIES (!!) are Team #1. Uh-oh...Besties lost their passports. NO!!! Unless they find their passports, they will be eliminated from the race! They find Justin's passport. They don't find Zev's. They have to go look and be back before the last team arrives. Rainbow is Team #1. Globes are Team #2.
Keri (Lawyahs) is doing the monkey task, while Lance yells at her. She tell him to SHUT UP! heh. Maria is doing the monkey task. Lawyahs head to the pit stop. ugh. Canaan (Clueless) is doing the monkey task.
Team USA is Team #3. Farmers are Team #4. Blondes are Team #5. Lawyahs are Team #6. Clueless is Team #7. Poker Chicks are Team #8. DAMMIT. Because Besties didn't find their passports in time, Poker Chicks made it and didn't get eliminated.
Besties are eliminated from the race. BOO!!!! SO lame. Ok, now I'm rooting for the Farmers. :(
